I've read all the previous books in this series, and while interesting, they are starting to become a bit redundant. The sex scenes are the same, the Kindred males are all overly preoccupied with asking permission for every little act, and the female leads never just give in to their passions because of some guilt or trauma. Also, the characters always use the same descriptors for various body parts, even if they are from completely different planets and cultures. This book was particularly weak. I'm on overload with the characters' guilt or trauma getting in their own way of being together. That can generally make for a great plot in a romance, but after seeing it 9 times with 9 different couples/threesomes (I feel the first book was the only one that did less of this as it was more of a will-power against seduction scenario), I find myself wanting something different to happen.I generally don't like series books when it comes to the romance/erotica genre because subsequent books usually lack the intense desire and sexual tension of the first book. That being said, I still want to commend the author for coming up with some very creative ideas for scenarios that she puts her characters in. That was what got me up to book 10. While, every 2-3 books I'd read one I didn't enjoy as much, the creativity was what would make me pick up the next book. But with this book I found the redundancy has finally gotten to a point where it's overshadowing the creativity. I was skipping chunks of the book because I knew how it would end up and didn't want to waste my time.
This book went way better than book 9!! So glad. I have an affinity for MFM's and look forward to reading some more of this series. This one seemed a little more deep than some of the others. I did get irritated with Becca's constant shame game and guilt, but when I was her age I was probably also like that...and I hadn't even considered becoming a nun...but when you're from the south I guess we're all raised to feel like her. I have to say I love that this author bases her girls from Florida where I'm from so there's always that connection for me, except now I need to go visit the west coast of Florida!
This broken Twin dynamic made for a fascinating journey, including Becca who was about to take her vows as a nun. The struggle between the three of them felt real, and I felt for Far very much because I wanted them to work. The introduction of two new world's was interesting, as well as the possession by the demons. When I finished the book, I was most interested in Garron. I felt he was very genuine and a tangible character. I wish the sex scenes weren't full of pretty much repetitive language (especially from book to book). Not everyone uses the same language, so why should all of these characters? I'm invested in this series, though, and I can't wait to read Garron's story.
Ok. This is the first series I have come across where the characters are so well developed and you find out along the way what happens to past characters. As the series starts you are introduced to 3 females and 2 males who serve as the main characters for the first three books and as you progress through them you are introduced to the next series of characters so be aware that these are not stand alone stories. They need to be read in sequence so that you are not lost as to the storylines and characters as they develop. I have now read the first ten and really want to complete the series. I do have them all so will do so in the near future.Highly recommended but bear in mind the eroticism contained in all of them.
Evangeline Anderson is absolutely amazing! Book 10 of the brides of the kindred is just amazing, drama..denial and decadence! The book is well written, the character development is superlative. I love MANwich(m/f/m) at times I was laughing,crying and asking myself why? Why? Can you really fight your desires? Gave the book 5 stars..loved it! This mega sized novel is fantastic! Rebecca Malone had a calling ..to serve god that was until she got served cake! And she now has uncontrollable sexual urges and lascivious thoughts!Can she choose between twin kindred or will she just end up with cake in her face? They made her body sing and now she has got to find a way to team up with them, for the mothership is under attack by an unknown malevolent evil! Can she help her men or will she drive them further apart! Truth and Far are Twin kindred separated at birth. Imagine their surprise when this little mouse invades their hearts and minds..to form the perfect triad! However Truth doesn't want a bond with his brother the thought of touching a man is abhorrent and completely forbidden! The years without his brother hardened his heart? Can this female open his eyes and heart before it's to late? Can he let go of the past to see what is in front of him? Far always dreamed of his brother and of that unbreakable bond between them...The man he now looks at only looks at him with disdain and hostility..Can he make his brother see? And when the brothers along with their mate are the only hope for the unmated males on board the mothership, can they put their differences asides ? Or will they all be forever divided?! Loved everything about this book and as always Evangeline bring us indescribable passion, sensuality and unadulterated sex! I want more!
