This book lays out a road map on how to be successful in the commercial real estate business (and many of the same principals can be applied to various types of sales). You get the benefit of hearing how professionals who are at the top got there and maintain their competitive edge. The discussions on how to approach cold calling were especially instructive and foundational to building a consistent pipeline of deals. It is interesting to learn the different methods these seasoned brokers have employed to get motivated, stay hungry and differentiate themselves from their competition. They also talk about how to overcome obstacles in getting to the decision makers and unique ways to present yourself for maximum impact. The conversational format of the book makes it an easy read. Each chapter is devoted to one of the five brokers with great questions from the author and some of his coaching clients as well. This is a valuable book that can be referred to now and in the future.
This is an amazing book. I was in commercial real estate for years and wow, I sure wish I had this on DAY 1.Would have saved me years of frustration and made me 10's of 1000's of dollars more in income.If you do anything in commercial r.e., don't hesitate to get this book - you're basically getting 5 books in one as he interviews some amazing brokers and they share their secrets.Highly recommended!
