The title of this book implies you will master macros by going through it, but as a long time Excel user who is new to VBA, I find the book fairly useless. The book is good about introducing you to the concept of macros, showing you how you can use various functions such as loops and arrays, but it doesn't go into practical application. Also, there are code examples that simply don't work, the examples in the book don't match the code in a separate download (so that you can cut and paste it in if you wanted to), and there are tons of grammatical errors. My recommendation is to find a better book.
Excel Macro Mastery is an excellent step by step guide to mastering Excel macros. Author Paul Kelly lays out, in easy to understand and implement directions, how to use code in Excel to program to your particular needs. Everything you need to know is detailed in 15 steps. Just follow the steps and you'll be set. This has made my life so much easier. Now instead of having to manually enter everything I have macros set up. This has cut my work load considerably. I highly recommend it!
A very useful book for beginners, written in an easy to follow style and with a focus on the essentials. I did encounter what seemed to me to be a few typos in the coding examples but nothing serious - with a little thought even beginners will pick up the few errors. The book encourages the reader to try the example code and the explanation that accompanies the code is clear and well-suited to the task of teaching the reader about VBA coding. This book is one of the good ones, and is a good place to start learning VBA.
Excellent, easy read, and drills. I used it way back in the late 1980s but had not had need for it until recently. This was an easy, well down refresher course!

Well written and at a pace that was understandable and easy to follow. If you want to quickly acclimate to some very useful Excel / VBA routines, this is the book!
If you want to actually write Macros buy this book. I just bought Paul's second book. I was thrilled that Paul told me that most of my loops will be covered by For Next Loop. That is what I actually want to know what is the 20% that will get me 80% of what I need.Good job.
