They have shortened Goodman and Gilman, removing much of the helpful physiology in the process. Of course this brand new version includes newer drugs. But this version doesn’t come close to superseding the old, and superior, editions. It is about 400 pages shorter, about 20%, effectively more than that because of some new chapters that are timely but not really to the point, at least according to my thoughts.
It has all the information for the medical students needs.
I'm a physician and author. This is a definitive text and where I go when I need quick and authoritative answers. Easy to use, thorough, and readable. You can't ask for better.

Classic; essential text; awesome new edition. Extremely pleased.
Since 1975, I have been using this book. I don't use Cecil & Loeb anymore; I use Harrison's which is pending for a new edition.
