My favorite guide series for over 25 years; like having a guide waiting for you in the city when you get there. Relevant and necessary info clearly and concisely presented--just what you need to know in each category, with just enough commentary to give you a sense of what you're in for, good or not so good. Thanks for getting us around the world over the last 25 plus years.

This 736-page book – the 11th printed edition of February 2018 - is an interesting and readable (the two are not always found together) guide to the Kingdom of England (one of the constituent kingdoms of the United Kingdom).Unlike many guides, this is not a glossy booklet dotted with colourful photographs to make it look superficially attractive, but a (literally) rough guide in terms of comparative paper finishes, but well-designed and presented, with readable text, useful maps, and (well-chosen) photographs only where space allowed.
